To continue to be able to prescribe opioids for your patients’ acute or chronic pain, you must meet the two-credit Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services’ New Continuing Medical Education Requirement. The requirement is still in effect for the current renewal period for Wisconsin physicians who hold an active DEA number for prescribing controlled substances.
There are numerous options for this training. But this is the only one presented by Family Physicians for Family Physicians. Your fellow FPs know the information you need and want most.
Our course is divided into three convenient sessions and can be viewed live or recorded, when you have time, or all at once.

This Live series activity, Wisconsin Responsible Opioids Prescribing - Live Series, from 11/01/2018 - 10/31/2019, has been reviewed and is acceptable for credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Each of the three sessions of the course is approved for 0.75 AAFP Prescribed credits.
By participating in all 3 sessions of the course you will earn 2.25 credits and meet the Wisconsin CME requirement on responsible opioid prescribing.
Registration for the November course has closed. Registration for the January course will open in December.
