We are excited to offer our second annual Student & Resident Leadership Summit on Thursday, August 10, 2023. This is a one-day program developed for current or future FMIG leaders, and residents who are interested in leadership opportunities, such as aspiring to be Chief Residents. The conference supports efforts in our strategic plan to grow a family medicine workforce, and nurture and develop family physician leaders, while providing valuable experience to the participants.
In addition to the 2023 Student & Resident Leadership Summit, the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians will be hosting its 75th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, August 11, 2023. There will be a variety of sessions centered on interesting topics, networking opportunities with family physicians, residents, and students, and fun activities dedicated to the anniversary.

Students and residents interested in attending WAFP's 75th anniversary can book a hotel room for Thursday night in WAFP's room block.
Secure your hotel stay at the beautiful Ridge Hotel on Thursday for $179 plus a $15 resort fee + tax. To do so, please call 262-249-3800 and mention the WAFP 75th Anniversary. Please note that a credit card is due at the time of booking to secure your room. Once the room block is full, rooms may still be available outside the room block but at a higher rate.
