The UW School of Medicine and Public Health FMIG Wins 2020 AAFP Program of Excellence Overall Award

Congratulations to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Family Medicine Interest Group for receiving the 2020 FMIG Program of Excellence Overall Award! The award was presented at last week’s virtual National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students. For more than ten years, the AAFP Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) Network has recognized FMIGs with the Program of Excellence Award for their efforts to stimulate student interest in family medicine and family medicine programming. 2020 is the sixth consecutive year that the UWSMPH FMIG has received this award.

Congratulations to UW and all of your FMIG members for this exciting accomplishment!

Students from around the country celebrated this honor live, Friday July 31, at the first-ever virtual AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students. FMIG Network leaders revealed Program of Excellence Award winners during an annual celebration event that gives leaders the opportunity to connect and share ideas.

WAFP extends our congratulations to all of the students, faculty, and staff who contributed to the achievement!
