The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued their annual update of immunization schedules 3 months early this year, November rather than February.
The CDC Vaccine Schedules app was updated with the 2024 schedules on 11/16/2023. Update your app to version 11.1.0 or download it for the first time.
Online versions of the schedules are available.
The CDC issued the schedules early to make it more likely for insurance plans to cover the new immunizations for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and Covid before numbers of cases of these respiratory infections increase. The Affordable Care Act requires health insurance plans to cover vaccines listed on the immunization schedules within 1 year of when they first appear on the schedules.
