Representing 2,900 members, the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) is committed to promoting excellence in health care and improving the overall health and well-being of the people of Wisconsin by advancing the specialty of family medicine and the professional growth of family physicians through Advocacy, Leadership Development and the Value-Based Medical Home.
Focusing on initiatives that help our member physicians spend more time with their patients in an effort to deliver quality care during routine office visits and critical times alike - that's both our purpose and our passion.
Whether it's addressing the shortage of primary care physicians across Wisconsin or supporting vaccine legislation, WAFP works hard to give voice to family physicians and patients alike in Madison and beyond.
The WAFP is dedicated to providing lifelong learning opportunities to our family physician, resident and student members, and whenever possible making these opportunities CME-accredited.
The WAFP supports the Value-Based Medical Home's goals to improve healthcare quality, enhance access and reduce overall costs. Our Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) site has been structured to reflect WAFP's efforts to promote public policy and provide important information and resources to members about PCMH.
