Your Doctor...

  • is a trained physician dedicated to caring for the health and medical needs of you as a person and your family as a complete unit, without reservation as to age, gender, organ system involved, race or sexual orientation.


  • knows and treats you and the members of your family as people, not as organ systems or disease entities.


  • recognizes the absolute necessity of engaging in continuing medical education leading to a constant awareness and skill in the use of new diagnostic and therapeutic developments.


  • can treat effectively 85 percent of all human ailments and, when necessary, direct you to the appropriate consulting specialist for treatment.


  • needs your cooperation and assistance for best results in treating you and your family and in preventing disease and injury in the home, at the work place and in the community.


  • is a member in good standing of the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians, the state and national associations of Family Doctors, which were founded in 1948 and 1947, respectively, to set high membership standards and strive to:


    • promote and maintain high professional and ethical standards in the practice of family medicine


    • encourage young people to prepare for active careers in Family Medicine


    • help provide continuing education and encourage participation by all Family Physicians in the accounting and accumulation of educational hours for the requirements of sitting for the American Board of Family Practice leading to Diplomate status every seven years, thus matching the average turnover in the modern knowledge base.
