Coding Monograph
Strategies for Coding, Billing and Getting Paid Appropriately

The Academy has collaborated with the California Academy to provide our members with this useful guide for Family Physicians. Strategies for Coding, Billing, and Getting Paid Appropriately has been produced to assist family physicians with an essential component of your day-to-day existence: coding and billing for the services you provide. Use this overview and an updated set of guidelines in your practice. Getting paid appropriately for services you provide involves more than just coding the service and billing the third-party payer. There are aspects of reimbursement management that occur before the coding is even done and aspects that occur long after the claim has been submitted.

This Coding Monograph can be downloaded or printed.

This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 4 Prescribed Credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Term of approval is for one-year from beginning distribution date of 1/4/2004, with option for yearly renewal.
